LEADRAY Introduces IP65 Waterproof 40W Solar Street Light with 7,200 Lumen Output

IP65 Waterproof Protection Built Into the Housing

The LRC-L40W carries an IP65 rating, meaning the luminaire is dust-tight and protected against water jets from any angle. For projects in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa and coastal regions, this matters more than headline wattage. Monsoon downpours, salt-laden air and dust storms are what normally shorten outdoor luminaire life, causing fogging inside the lens, corrosion on the driver board and premature LED failure.

Waterproofing is treated as a production process, not a marketing claim. The sealed die-cast housing measures 1016 x 260 x 68 mm, with gasketed joints between lens, housing and rear cover and a cable entry designed to stop water tracking into the battery compartment. Every batch passes the company's IP waterproof and dustproof testing station, alongside raw material screening, PCB verification and 72-hour continuous aging of finished units.

7,200 Lumens from a 40W Platform

Output is the second defining figure. Using 48 pieces of 3030 LED chips, the luminaire reaches a typical 7,200 lumens at 180lm/W — efficiency that lets a 40W system replace higher-wattage fixtures while drawing less from the 40W 6V photovoltaic module and battery, extending autonomy on cloudy days. The optical design spreads light evenly across the carriageway rather than concentrating it in a single hotspot.

Colour temperature is selectable from 2700K to 6500K, so one model serves warm residential streets, neutral urban roads and cool highway or security applications. Recommended installation height is 5 to 7 metres, covering the pole heights most often specified for secondary roads, community lanes, parking areas and campus routes.

LiFePO4 Storage and Rainy-Day Autonomy

Energy is stored in a lithium iron phosphate battery rated 3.2V 45AH, 144Wh. LiFePO4 offers longer cycle life, greater thermal stability and better tolerance of high ambient temperatures than earlier lithium chemistries. Under normal irradiance the LRC-L40W sustains one to three rainy days of operation. Battery, controller and LED module sit inside a single sealed unit, removing the external wiring runs that are the usual entry point for moisture.

The LRC-L40W is built at LEADRAY's Shandong base, part of a 68,000 square metre site with 40,000 square metres of production and R&D space. The facility runs SMT workshops, automated assembly lines, an independent aging laboratory and a solar panel testing zone.
