Saudi Clients Visit LEADRAY Factory Talking Solar Lighting for Desert Roads

2026-10-23

Last week, a team of Saudi buyers visited our LEADRAY factory. They are a road-construction supplier working on municipal lighting projects in Riyadh and Jeddah, and they came to us with a clear goal finding solar street lights that can truly survive desert conditions.

What they came to talk about

Most Saudi buyers already know solar lighting is the future. Their concern was never "should we go solar", but "will it last in our weather". During the tour, we sat around the sample table and went through their real pain points one by one:

  1. Extreme heat. Summer temperature in Saudi can hit 50°C. They worried the battery and LED chips would overheat and fade fast.
  2. Sand and dust. Frequent sandstorms cover the panel, block the sunlight, and wear the housing.
  3. Night lighting range. On wide desert roads and highways, they needed lights strong enough to cover a full lane clearly.
  4. Maintenance. With roads stretching hundreds of kilometers, any light that fails is expensive to reach and fix.

How we solved them on site

Instead of a long sales talk, we showed them the actual machines.

  • For heat, we walked them through our high-efficiency LED modules with better thermal management and the temperature-resistant lithium battery packs, designed to keep stable output even under 50°C+ sun.
  • For sand and dust, we demonstrated the high protection level of our alloy housing and the anti-dust panel design. We also explained the self-cleaning tilt and high IP rating that reduces daily maintenance.
  • For coverage, we turned on the lights in our testing area and let them see the actual beam spread and brightness across a full road width, not just numbers on a datasheet.
  • For maintenance, we emphasized the modular design parts can be replaced quickly without changing the whole unit, which lowers their long-term cost on long desert routes.

They tested the brightness themselves, checked the panel output, and spent a long time taking notes on the controller settings. Honestly, it was the kind of visit where the customer does more talking than we do and that is exactly how we like it.

Visiting Shenzhen after the meeting

After the factory visit, we took them around Shenzhen including the Window of the World a short break after two days of intense discussions. It was a good chance to build trust outside the meeting room.

What's next

Both sides agreed on a pilot order for a desert-road project, and they asked for samples first to run their own heat and sand test. We are already preparing the samples with desert-optimized configurations.

We believe this is just the beginning of a long cooperation. If you are working on solar projects in hot, dry, or sandy regions and want lights that actually perform come see us, or send us a message. We love this kind of conversation.
