The Problem Nobody Warns You About: Dirty Panels

A solar street light is a power plant with a one-square-metre fuel supply, and that fuel supply stands outdoors for a decade. Road dust, diesel soot, bird droppings, leaves and salt spray settle on the panel surface month after month. The cells still work they simply receive less light. Because the controller can only charge inside the daylight window, lost irradiance does not just reduce brightness; it shortens usable night-time runtime, and the effect compounds as the battery ages.

In dusty, coastal or high-traffic markets this is the most common reason a project that performed well in its first rainy season looks tired by the second dry season. Cleaning is possible, of course but who climbs a six-metre pole every month, in every village, on a maintenance budget approved two years ago?

Designing the Cleaning Into the Fixture

The LEADRAY LRQX series answers that question at the design stage. A cleaning system is built into the fixture, so the energy harvest stays close to the original design value instead of drifting downward for the rest of the product's service life.

  • Integrated all-in-one build solar panel, LED module, LiFePO4 battery, controller and PIR sensor share one housing. No cable runs between components, no separate battery box on the pole, measurably lower installation cost per lighting point.
  • Self-cleaning panel surface the mechanism works with the fixture rather than as an aftermarket add-on, so there is nothing extra to wire, power or service.
  • Adjustable 140° bracket the head is aimed at the real road geometry instead of a generic tilt.
  • Radar sensing plus time control full output on detection, dimmed standby otherwise, which stretches the nightly energy budget across cloudy weeks.
  • IP66 and 6063 aluminium sealed against rain and dust ingress, with a body that survives coastal air.

Built Where the Panel Is Built

A self-cleaning concept only holds together if panel, battery, controller and LED module are matched to one another which is why we keep them under one roof. Our 68,000 m² facility runs its own solar panel workshop and LiFePO4 battery PACK workshop, feeding the LED assembly line directly. Every unit passes raw-material inspection, photoelectric testing, a waterproof test and a full aging cycle before packing, and the technical file is traceable under reference No. LCS2111080754R. Monthly street light capacity of 1,200 units is what lets a municipality take delivery in phases instead of hearing "wait for the next batch".

Two Questions Worth Asking Any Supplier

Before comparing quotations, ask what happens to the panel surface after eighteen months in the field, and who is responsible for cleaning it. If the answer is "the client", you are buying a lantern rather than a solar lighting system. Datasheets, installation manuals and sample units are available on request, and OEM/ODM branding, packaging and parameter customisation are supported.

Send us your road, park or industrial estate layout the LEADRAY team will return a lighting recommendation and a realistic delivery schedule.
